Retro Automotive is a globally renowned Land Rover restoration specialist, celebrated for transforming classic Defenders and Series into high-performance, head-turning vehicles. I was tasked with designing and developing their full website - an end-to-end project executed under an extremely tight deadline.

Using Webflow, I built a sleek, responsive, and user-friendly platform that seamlessly showcases Retro Automotives’ bespoke builds and attention to detail. Every aspect of the site - from layout and wireframes to imagery, copy, and animations - was carefully considered and designed to reflect the brand’s core identity: adventurous, slick and iconic.

Collaborating closely with the marketing team and mechanics, I ensured each build was presented in the most effective ways. This included integrating high-resolution photography, custom icons, and in depth written content that emphasised the uniqueness of each vehicle and utilised storytelling to provide more context as to why the product is so special.

Key achievements of the website include:

  • Responsive design optimised across desktop, tablet, and mobile.

  • Subtle animations and hover effects that enhance visual appeal without compromising it’s usability.

  • Intuitive navigation designed to guide users effortlessly from the initial home page to enquiry. Removing the useless pages, the fluff, and focusing on the impactful content that will convert to sales.

  • SEO-friendly structure and clean Webflow CMS setup for easy content updates and performance.

This project demanded not just a strong understanding of design and aesthetics, but also technical efficiency and a deep knowledge of it’s target audience. From Land Rover enthusiasts to high-end buyers, the website is able to appeal to those who value authenticity and heritage as well as higher end buyers interested in premium quality vehicles.

The final result is a digital experience that drives customer engagement while elevating the brand’s presence and providing them with a website that they are proud to guide potential clients to.
